Tips for Adjusting Letterheads and Footers (Desktop)
What it is: Practical guidance for positioning firm letterheads and footers in the AFS preview so they appear correctly — without overlapping report text or page numbers, and with the right pages showing each element.
What it's for
Firm branding (letterheads and footers) is imported into Draftworx Desktop via the Preview Settings. When images are the wrong size or the margins are not adjusted, the letterhead can push over the report wording, or the footer can overlap the page number. These tips explain how to fix the most common positioning problems.
How to do it
Fix a letterhead that overlaps report wording
- Navigate to Content under the relevant letterhead options.
- Increase the Header margin to push the report body down until the text clears the letterhead image.
Upload a footer separately from the letterhead
- Select an unused letterhead option.
- Browse to the saved footer image, select it, and choose Open.
- Apply the footer letterhead option to the relevant report.
- If the footer overlaps the page number, go to Footer Image > Margins and increase the Bottom margin to move the footer up.
Show letterhead on first page only, footer on all pages
- Set the footer-only letterhead option to Applies to All Pages.
- Navigate to Design > Image on the AFS, browse to the letterhead image, and select Open.
- The letterhead image is inserted — reposition and resize as needed.
- Use Live Preview to confirm correct placement before finalising.
